1 soldat américain tué accidentellement en AfghanistanABUL, June 10 (KUNA) -- A US soldier was killed in an incident in eastern Afghanistan, the military said on Wednesday. A statement from the US Bagram base said the soldier died of non-combat related causes in eastern Afghanistan. Without revealing name and nationality of the soldier, the military statement said name and nationality of the soldier was withheld pending notification of next of kin. Separately, the Afghan police said they had killed 30 Taliban during the past three days in Uruzgan province in the southern zone of the country.
Spc. Eduardo S. Silva, 25, of Greenfield, Calif., died June 9 at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, of a non-combat related incident. He was assigned to the 563rd Aviation Support Battalion, 159th Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.
